Who is Sawdust & Sparks?

We're Kristi and Bettina (Bettina's the brunette), married since 2009 and in this little business together since 2025, when we both found ourselves laid off from non-profit and DEIB jobs. We decided to add something creative to our world so that job searching didn't suck the life out of us, and we found a real love for making cool things with our own two hands, some power tools, and a laser machine.

We originally named our woodworking business Knot Straight and our laser business Bee Sparks, and together, we launched Sawdust & Sparks. Every piece is finished by hand, and custom orders are signed off only when you say it's right. Whether it's branded gear for your team or a frame for a once-in-a-lifetime moment, we'd love to make it for you.

Pretty much everything you see on our site can be personalized with names, logos, or photo engravings.
